Hiya peeps! I haven't been posting a whole lot lately. I guess I've lost a little bit of steam on posting here.
Honestly, I doubt anyone reads this.
Though I did start this project at the beginning of the MCO to keep me occupied and inspired, in a way? I guess? Gotta soldier on!
To anybody out there who found time to read this, thank you so much! You guys are awesome!
So onto my main thing. I broke my days down, this is gonna be a lot. Bear with me. Please? Okay? Okay.
Day 38 & 39 of MCO
I actually streamed my playthrough of FFVIIR for friends that don't have the PS4 and the game. I'm quite happy to share my experience with friends. Though I am a bit awkward when I play games in front of an audience. I mostly streamed the playthrough when I'm done with sidequests, I didn't want the audience see me running around (getting lost) doing sidequests. That'll be extremely BORING!
To the peeps who watched the stream, I thank you for your support, you guys literally made my day. I'm not much of a talker when I play but if you talk to me I'll respond. I swear I'm not as awkward as I seem to be. LOL
Here are some screencaps for your eyes to feast on! (it's not a lot)
I love Jessie in the remake, her personality shines through in this one.
Aren't Chocobos the cutest???
Thats Cloud, in a dress.
Top dog in darts, mah peeps!
I wish I had more screencaps to show, but I don't wanna spoil too much of the game.
Day 40 of MCO
Ah, 26th April, I forgot it's already that time of the year.
I am officially 32.
Older and hopefully wiser (and truthfully more of a wise ass). *cough*
Mum and my aunt, who was coincidentally at my house, baked me a cake!
See below!
It's a butter sponge cake with pieces of cheese on top.
I love it! It's so very rustic and simple. My mum does not like baking, like me, she doesn't have the patience to do so. But for her to make this for me from scratch, it was super duper endearing. I told her I didn't need a cake but she still does it anyway.
Mom, even though we butt heads sometimes, I do love you. Thank you for raising me to be who I am today. I was never sad that I never grew up with a dad, I had you and it was enough.
I grew up to be a respecful person, and I never let being raised in a broken home (and those who looked down on me because of that) bring me down.
Day 41 - 44 of MCO
I spent literal hours of my days trying to finish FFVIIR during this time. I spent most of my time streaming my gameplay session and I rarely get to save screencaps during the playthrough LMAO
'twas during this time I FINALLY finished playing the game. I was playing on normal mode for my first playthrough, I thought about playing the hard mode as soon as I get some well deserved rest from the game.
So, here's my review of the game. (solely based on my opinion and my own experience)
The storyline is very close to the original. I love every aspect of it, everytime I looked at the scenery, the cutscenes, the ambiance, etc. It reminds me of the original FFVII, it was a hit of nostalgia everytime I run through the game!
I was a kid (around 12-ish?) when I played the original, and I struggled so much to understand it. The remake however makes the storyline seamlessly jive into the gameplay! I absolutely love the direction! And the battle mechanics! LOVE LOVE LOOOOVE!
BUT.
There's one thing that bugs me. Its small and maybe not important.
It this, the animation when you go to open a chest. Ugh. Cloud just slides, no, glides, to open it. I feel like its sloppy and lazy. I mean the cinematic view is awesome but you can't get the guy to walk up to the chest NORMALLY?
That's the only thing that irks me, the rest was an absolute joy to witness.
Alright that is it for my review of FFVIIR, the next game on my list is Two Point Hospital! I've just downloaded the game after finishing FFVIIR. Stay tuned for that one!
Day 45 of MCO
It's Labour day today! Happy Labour Day everyone!
Alsooooooo.
There was an announcement from the PM of Malaysia today about the state of our fight against COVID19.
The PM announced that on the 4th of May, there will be an ease to the current MCO to revive the economic state of the country. He introduced the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), where the Government will allow some shops to open for business. i.e. Hardware, Eletronic, Handphone, Gadgets stores, etc.
According to the PM, they had the backup from MOH, and from the stats, we're doing pretty good in containing the virus. Thus, the decision to ease the MCO was made.
PROVIDED that Malaysians are willing to follow SOPs set by the government.
Not all Malaysians agree to this sudden change, most are still afraid that the ease on the MCO will bring forth more new infected cases in the country. And with Hari Raya coming soon, there's no telling what's gonna happen when every one decides to balik kampung (return to their hometowns).
Although Sabah (and some other states as well) CM decided that they will not ease the MCO, for fear of sudden spikes of new cases within the state.
Therefore, I will not have to go to work on the 4th of May.
Thank you Lord!
Day 46 - 49 of MCO
And so continuing staying at home, I've downloaded a new game called Two Point Hospital for the PS4. I used to play something similar on the PC when I was younger, it was called Theme Hospital. If I'm not mistaken.
As the name suggests, it's a hospital simulation game. I'm hooked to be honest. I can't stop playing it till late into the night. My husband could only shake his head as he looks on. (He plays Tekken 7 on the PS4, he loves it so much that he's planning to buy an arcade stick for that)
I wish I have screencaps for you guys. Maybe after this post? ;)
Day 50 of MCO
Ah, the 5th of May, the day the storm hits.
Behold.
A natural pool.
Flooding has been a serious issue in our area, and with the construction of Pan Borneo still on-going, it's making matters worse. I just wish this'll be resolved once Pan Borneo is completed. (I honestly doubt it though)
The door I managed to save before it got carried away by the flood.
Mum and I decided to make dumplings (wo tie in mandarin) while waiting for the flood to subside.
A weird coping mechanism, I know. But the Dumpling's good!
My husband on the other hand, caught some baby fish, believe it or not at the same pool of water in the picture above. He was EXTREMELY excited about it too. *shakes head*
The water eventually subsides, it was the most terrifying 2 hours of my life. I'm glad that was over.
Day 51 - 54 of MCO
Okay, I'm gonna be honest here. I'm not done with Two Point Hospital. BUT I saw two new (free) games from PSN Plus. Farm Simulator and Cities Skyline. I immediately added it to my library of games (that most I have not even touched since I've saved it).
Other than that, what have I been up to? Well, I'm replaying Dragon Age: Inquisition AGAIN. Reasons being, I've made changes in Dragon Age Keep, and I'd like to see the changes translated in DA:I.
Here she is!
she's a warrior now, previously I tried the rogue class. Still a human LOL.
Day 55 of MCO
An announcement from the PM of Malaysia.
The new CMCO will be extended from the 13th of May to 9th of June, not surprised to be honest.
Day 56 of CMCO
It was an uneventful day. Just the normal day to day routine during MCO, and dreading tomorrow morning as it's my first day of work after a long while. I remember turning my alarms, yes plural, on, and dread the next morning. Help!
I've also downloaded Cities Skyline for the PS4 and hoped that I know how to play this thing lol
Day 57 of CMCO
It's my first day of work after staying at home! I honestly miss the office.
Here's a selfie of me, at my cubicle.
We were supposed to go to work Monday - Wednesday & Friday - Saturday, but the executive decision was to only come on Monday for work for everyone's safety.
We then spent the day cleaning and sanitizing the office. After that, we were free to do whatever we want. (watches movies the whole day)
Day 58 - 61 of CMCO
I finally get the chance to go to Karamunsing and the husband tagged along to follow the wife's every whim LOL
My laptop has stopped working all this while and I thought it was time to get it fixed, the husband agrees of course, also he agreed to pay for it. Heeeeheeeeheeee
When we arrived at the mall, we were surprised to see a lot of cars. It appears that there are a lot of people at the mall today despite it still being CMCO. Although I guess people are bored for staying at home this whole time.
Both of us cautiously browsed for a good place to repair the laptop, the husband was so diligent and determined to find a good shop for me. I didn't really mind going to any shop as long as I get my laptop fixed, but he was really into finding the right shop. We prowled the second and third floor for the 'best' shop, and finally found one (his opinion).
After that, we decided to stroll around for a bit coz it has been a while since we gone out to a mall together, and the we went home.
The rest of the days were spent on playing games (Cities Skyline). I promise I'll get the screencaps soon! Stay tuned!
Day 62 of CMCO
Ah, it's Monday again. I suddenly had a Monday blues moment when I woke up. I had to go to work today.
We spent the whole day cleaning the office again. Coz honestly we're at lost as we don't have much to do except doing the cleaning. We vacuumed the carpets, mopped the floors, wiped our tables, cleaned the glass door and partitions, etc.
After around 1 hour or so, we sat down and stare at each other (at a distance). At around 11am, we had a meeting to discuss on the SOP around the office and punter area. That took around 30 minutes. At 12pm, we all went home. WOO!
Day 63 - 64 of CMCO
Okay, I'm getting a little repetitive here. I'm SO SORRY!
On these days, my husband and I decided to binge watch Supernatural. I miss my bois!
We binged watched this till late midnight, I realize I had to wake up early to go to work the next day.
And I woke up pretty late! GAH! I had to quickly do my morning routine and rush to work, and here I am at work right now, updating this blog. LMAO!
Did I mention I get the Monday off next week? YEEEEEES!
Okay that is it for now. I promise I'll make a better content the next post. I know I can!
Ciao!
