And so, what does Nifty bring to the plate today except mentioning how she expands, not in a good way. lol.
Well, as you all know, COVID19 has gained the status of PANDEMIC. Now, every nation is scrambling to contain the virus and our country, Malaysia is no different.
The Malaysian government has decreed during a special announcement on 16 Mar 2020 at 10pm, that a Movement Control Order is to be placed for a two week period starting on Wednesday (18 Mar - 31 Mar 2020). There will be no businesses and government offices open during this time, except essential services (water, eletricity, energy, telecommunication, postal services, transport, irrigation, oil, gas, fuel, lubricant, broadcast, finance, bank, health, pharmacy, fire, prison, port, airport, safety, defence, grocery and food supply).
We are a non essential company therefore the next day (17 Mar 20), after the announcement, you have NO idea how we were all scrambling to finish tasks AND answer phone calls from our agents and outlets throughout Sabah. I was going up and down the building (the assist that I need to lose weight) and all the while the office phones AND my handphone did not stop ringing up until one in the afternoon where things had calmed (TF) down.
During all the chaos yesterday of getting things done, my SO and I decided that it was best we got legally married before everything closes down for two weeks. He said, we don't know what's gonna happen in the next two weeks (dear Lord, so morbid) and he went to the court to set the time. That was when my family and I scrambled (for the second time yesterday) to get ready and arrived at court on time. We weren't the only couple there to be honest. Someone else had the same idea we did.
After ALLLLLLLL that, now, I'm legally married. I'm now someone's wife. How FRIGGIN' surreal is that??? These two weeks is gonna be confusing and surreal as both of us go into this marriage life during the weirdest time of the year, no, of the CENTURY! Oh the drama. LMAO!
And so yesterday we partied so hard (at home), played lap lap fu so hard (at home), and was high and drunk while laughing so much till we passed out (at home) with my brother and his girlfriend. We finally went to sleep at 3am.
So, day one of the MRO.
After last night's 'partying' (the neighbours were having so much fun than we were, they were karaokeing till dawn LOL), I woke up super early (8am) for a person who slept at 3am. Made coffee for le husband (still surreal) and both of us prepared breakfast, binge watching a serie and catching up mostly. But that gets old real fast coz there were times that we sat there and said absolutely nothing LMAO!
While I'm writing this blog, le husband already went down to wash our cars, and maybe after finishing this, I'll start playing my never-got-to-finish-it-coz-i'm-busy-adulting games. FINALLY!
Well, thats it. Day one of the MRO and my married life. Colourful? Maybe? Bittersweet? Uh-huh. Surreal? Most definately.
Alright peeps, till next time. This is Nifty, signing out from this notebook!
Ciaosu!
p/s: picture or it didn't happen, amirite?
